Drying Oven is used to heat the welding electrodes to a temperature and time specified by the manufacturer to dry a specific type of welding electrode. It reduces the chance for the introduction of hydr-ogen into the weld by removing the moisture from the electrode. The Drying .Oven may also be used as a Keeping Oven as it has a temperature range of 100– 800 deg. F (38 – 420 deg. C).

TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS
STANDARD has an electromechanical regulator with visual indicator
for the regulation of oven temperature. A sensor is installed on the
heating element and controls the temperature slope to avoid
electrode over-heating
.
